Wine Cork Wreath

I love making crafts with things I have laying around. I had been wanting to enter the world of wreath making. Pretty scary for someone who has never done anything like that.

For this project I used:

1 12" wooden wreath (from Michael's, less then $2 with coupon)
Wine Corks
Fat Wired Ribbon (purchased after the holidays for .50)
Glue gun with lots of glue sticks.

I started with the wooden wreath honestly because I wasnt sure of my skills and it was the cheapest wreath I could find.

I laid my corks out in a pattern to my liking. The champagne style corks worked well for my pattern because they fit snugly into each other.

Then I glued away!

After all the corks were secure I wrapped the ribbon around the wreath.

Lastly, I made a bow out of the last of my ribbon and glued it to the top. I had never made a bow before, but it was really very simple.

Ta-da! My 1st wreath is complete.

I am very pleased with the results. It was incredibly easy to make once I dug into the project.
